2024 FIM World Endurance Championship
“Coca-Cola” Suzuka 8 Hours Road Race
Joint test riding held by Suzuka Circuit

2024 June 19th and 20th

A joint test riding was held by Suzuka Circuit began on June 19th, approximately one month until Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race.
The first day, the 19th, was extremely hot with clear blue skies and strong sunlight from the morning.
SDG Team HARC-PRO. Honda's three riders, Yuki Kunii, Naomichi Uramoto, and Mario Aji, reunited and worked on the test riding.
Today, there were three sessions divided into Group A and Group B, and a night practice session was also held at the end.
SDG Team HARC-PRO. Honda was in Group B, allowing two machines to ride at the same time, so each rider was able to efficiently set up a test menu and have each rider complete the test.
However, in the second session, one machine encountered trouble.
As a result, only one machine could attend in the third session. Although the issues remained, Kunii's time of 2:07.764 in the third session was a team’s best, placing him 9th overall and 7th as a team.

June 20th, the second day of the joint test began with Group B included SDG Team HARC-PRO. Honda. It was much comfortable day than the first day of the test, and the temperature of the track surface only rose to about 40 degrees, but the riders spent the great energy for the test.
The morning session was 80 minutes long, and Mario Aji did a long ride, completing laps in the 2:08 range. Although there was a fall at the 200R chicane at the end, Mario was not injured and the team quickly repaired the machine, and was in time for the afternoon session.
This afternoon session lasted 90 minutes, with Yuki Kunii and Naomichi Uramoto doing long rides. Uramoto rode smoothly, and although Kunii had a minor problem during his long session, he managed to finish the session and gained valuable data. The best time on the day was 2:07.639, which placed him 12th overall. And is 8th best on the team.
The Suzuka 8 Hours will be held approximately one month later on Sunday, July 21st.
